Solar panels performance during a rain storm! Solar power test DIY
I have 3 x 20 watt Solar Panels on my roof. I average 45-70 watts depending on how strong the sun is.
I always wondered how well the solar panels would perform in 20-40% of its rated ideal light.
Check out how my Solar Panels perform in a serious rain storm!
I hook it to solar lights, and a servo motor for testing.
It sure looks like Solar panels produce a good deal of electric even in the rain!

Quick review of a neat little solar rechargeable flashlight that I bought off of ebay for less than $2 shipped. The flashlight is light and powerful, featuring 3 very bright led bulbs. The light features a 2 mode switch that controls a always on and flash function. The whole unit (minus the key ring) is only about half the length of my index finger, making it small enough to put in a bag or pocket without taking up too much room. Even though the unit has an extremely low cost, it features a high quality plastic body, a real solar panel and a model 2032 lithium rechargeable button battery. The unit arrived with a fully charged battery, but if the battery were discharged a simple placement near a sunny window or other bright source will recharge it. I found this light to be quite a fun little gadget, that I will have to add to my emergency power kit. I plan on buying one or more of this device to keep in cars, windows and as neat gifts for family and friends. Hope you enjoyed the review!
