Since there is so much pollution and energy wasting going on in the world, hasn’t anyone thought of using more solar-powered lights? What I mean is, we don’t need street lamps during the day when its light, but during the night, couldn’t it be possible to replace the current street lamps with solar-powered ones?
that seems like a great idea to me. we have these tiny panels set up that light our highway signs. why don’t you suggest it to your county commisioner? they probably have a website. i’m going to email mine, now.
im not a solar power expert but i think solar panel are very expensive.
also because we dont need streetlamps durinng the day it’ll require a fairly large battery to store power to last through the night, and batteries can hurt the environment as well when they go to landfills.
But if we could find ways to make solar panels cheaper and dispose of batteries safely it would be a great improvement
